Gmunden Apprenticeship Fair: Discover over 70 careers for the future!

The 13th AMS Gmunden apprentice fair recently took place on October 15th and 16th, 2025 and built on the successes of previous years. Over 40 regional companies presented more than 70 different apprenticeships there, which offered visitors a great opportunity to find out about the promising training opportunities in the region. These two days were not only a platform for students and their parents, but also for adults who are looking for new professional perspectives.

Particular attention was paid to the evening session for parents and adults looking for apprenticeships, which was well received. “The trade fair is an indispensable meeting point for young people who want to hold their future in their own hands,” emphasizes Ilse Hankowetz, the designated branch manager of the AMS Gmunden. In addition, the event has often been the starting point for successful apprenticeships in the past.

Direct exchange promotes career opportunities

As in previous years, the companies' creatively designed exhibition stands were praised. Peter Plank, head of the corporate service department, was positive about the high turnout and commitment of the exhibitors. Bernd Gschwandtner from Wuppermann emphasized the opportunity to hold discussions and arrange trial days. Florian Öhlinger from KIENINGER Bau also emphasized the importance of the trade fair for regionality. For Lisa-Maria Thalinger from Schnittvision, the event was an excellent opportunity to get in touch with future talent, while Ulrike Fritz from Gmundner Molkerei praised the direct exchange and the successful organization of the trade fair.

One of the highlights of the trade fair was the exclusive morning on Thursday for school classes who were looking for direct contact with the companies. According to arbeitsagentur.de, such events enable direct exchange with HR managers, which is often difficult to achieve via websites or social media. Students had the opportunity to ask about experiences from other young people and make initial contacts.

Looking into the future

The feedback from the exhibitors was consistently positive. Martin Grill-Kiefer from WOLF-Systembau and Judith Strauss from ROHRDORFER Zement emphasized the successful exchange and the lively interest. Preparations for the 2026 apprentice fair have already begun, and everyone involved agrees that this fair provides valuable support for young people on their professional path.
