Exciting victories and surprising twists at the adidas Trails 2025!
On September 9, 2025, everything in Gastein Valley revolved around trail running, when around 1,600 athletes from 58 nations competed in the adidas TERREX INFINITE TRAILS. The participants were ready to test their limits and take on the challenging routes. Despite cold, wet conditions and fresh snow at the beginning of the day, which pushed the first start times back an hour, the sun came out at the finish and created a great atmosphere.
The 2025 event represents the fourth edition of this globally respected trail running event. The competition has not only established itself as a flagship event for the Gastein Valley, but also contributes to the added value of tourism in the region. Last year's winner Selina Regenfelder was again able to win the 45K race, while the men's team race was won by Painting Robert Wimmer. The event offers a platform for professionals and amateurs who can compete in teams of three or as individuals in various distances. The different categories included women's, men's and mixed classifications.
Race results
The results were quite impressive and reflect the high level of the participants. Here is an overview of the spectacular placements:

| 60 km – men | Sepp Jetzbacher | Austria |

The team competitions were also not neglected, with the men's team consisting of painters Robert Wimmer, Johann Stuhler, Alexander Rieser and Matthias Naglmayr as well as the TERREX XC Ski Team I winning the women's competition. The German team All-Out & All-In prevailed in the mixed category. Across the entire competition, a high proportion of women of around 43% made an impression on the participants.
Event highlights
So it is not surprising that not only local fans and supporters, but also prominent participants such as TV presenter Kai Pflaume were at the start. Spectators and fellow runners watched his 30km in a time of 5:31:55 and the mood was consistently positive throughout the event.
The adidas TERREX INFINITE TRAILS 2025 is more than just a race - it's a celebration of trail running and a statement for the community. The organizers, led by Franz Naturner and Johannes Gfrerer, clearly have a good knack for creating an event that not only attracts participants, but also arouses the interest of the general public.
