Philipp Hochmair investigates new crime novels
What's new on TV? Things will get exciting for crime thriller fans on September 21, 2025: ORF will present “The Vulture – Friend or Foe,” a new film from the popular Alpine crime thriller series. This follows the first episode of “The Vulture,” which aired on September 7, 2024. Hochmair plays the main role of former criminal inspector Lukas Geier, who hunts criminals in Bad Gastein and the surrounding area. Filming took place in September and October 2024 and is based on the novel “Buona Notte” by Andrea di Stefano.
Lukas Geier has a shadowy life: After he was once involved in the witness protection program, he himself now becomes the target of an undercover game. He has to deal with a hitman who wants to offer him a new identity in order to find a mole within the police force. The Vulture: A Dangerous Game
