The ASKÖ Hallein boxing club particularly stood out with its interactive stand. Here visitors had the opportunity to experience the fascination of boxing up close. Chairman Tarik Asil was enthusiastic about the good response: “Children, young people and parents were able to try out their skills on the punching bag, demonstrate their skills at the punching school and try their hand at jumping rope.”
A strong interest in boxing
The great interest in the activities on offer indicates a trend: many children and young people are increasingly motivated to try out boxing. Asil has already received numerous requests for training sessions, which signals a clear popularity for boxing in Hallein.( salzburg.orf.at )
Promoting children and young people is of central importance for sports clubs. They not only offer a platform for sporting activities, but also support the personal development of young people. Values such as team spirit, discipline and fairness are conveyed through regular training and strengthen social skills.( europas-meister.de )
Important values in sport
The sports clubs create a safe space to promote friendships and also become active in the integration and inclusion of a wide variety of social groups. Here, young people not only learn how to stay physically fit, but also develop self-confidence and social skills.( meinkreis.at )
In addition to physical activity, these club activities also contribute to mental health and help avoid risky behavior. Trainers and supervisors act as role models who accompany and support young people on their journey.
The enthusiasm for boxing in Hallein couldn't have fit better into the context of Sports Day and shows how important it is to promote young talent and get them excited about sporting activities.
