Yesterday, on October 18, 2025, there was a rousing duel in 2nd class Steinfeld between ESV HW Wr. Neustadt and SC Lanzenkirchen. The game, which attracted around 180 spectators, ended with an exciting 3:5 for the guests from Lanzenkirchen. The game was marked by numerous goals and twists, offering the spectators a spectacle that will quickly be remembered.
The encounter started promisingly for the hosts when Alexander Gruber beat ESV Wr. in the 3rd minute. Neustadt took a 1-0 lead. But the joy of the early lead didn't last long, as Manuel Kulcsar equalized for Lanzenkirchen in the 31st minute and thus brought the score level. Shortly before half-time, Patrik Kökeny once again caused Neustädter to celebrate when he made it 2-1 in the 44th minute.
A game full of twists
After the half-time break, Lanzenkirchen showed a strong recovery. Slobodan Gojanovic brought the guests back into the game with a 2-2 score in the 47th minute. This was followed by two goals from Sandro Mikic in the 57th and 62nd minutes, which put Lanzenkirchen ahead 4-2. However, the game was far from decided, because ESV Wr. Neustadt didn't give up and tried again to catch up.
Leo Wolf even increased the score to 5:2 for Lanzenkirchen in the 71st minute and seemed to have already set the final point. Nevertheless, Yusuf Yilmaz proved for the hosts with his goal in the 74th minute that hope for a turnaround was not yet lost - the deficit was suddenly only two goals. Despite all efforts, the ESV Wr. Neustadt were no longer able to equalize, and so the thrilling confrontation ended 5:3 for SC Lanzenkirchen.
