Harz mountaineering shines: Bad Vöslau relies on civic engagement!
There is great joy in Bad Vöslau, because the Harz mountain climbs are shining in new splendor again! An initiative of the List Bad Vöslau (LBV) has contributed to cleaning the popular stairs that lead numerous hikers to the observation tower. A total of 172 steps characterize this climb and have now been freed from pollution from leaves, earth and stones.
The operation was no coincidence: citizens reported the unsightly conditions of the stairs. LBV chairman Alexander Steinmeyer explained that the cleaning plan was implemented in close coordination with the municipal office. The members of the LBV and especially the committed LBV kids pitched in hard. After about two hours of strenuous work, the goal was reached and the stairs shined again in all their splendour.
Joint efforts for the neighborhood
The campaign was accompanied by a lot of positive feedback from hikers passing by. The spokesman for the LBV, Johann Pichler, emphasized how important the exchange with the citizens of Bad Vöslau is. The LBV team is pleased about the opportunity to come into even closer contact with residents and hear their concerns directly through events such as the “After Work Clubbing 'Indian Summer'” and the “Playground Meeting Point” in the castle park.
The Harz mountain climbs are not only a neglected path, but also have an interesting history: some of the stairs are brick, while other sections are natural. Unfortunately, this is an unfinished work by a Vöslauer who died during the work. The LBV initiative shows that the heritage of these stairs is also valued and cared for.
Sustainable planning for the future
The Bad Vöslau list is already planning further actions under the motto “Don’t talk, just do!” This sends a clear signal that proximity to the citizens and the cleanliness of the surrounding area are the top priority for the LBV. The staircase cleaning initiative is the first step to strengthen people's connection to nature in Bad Vöslau and at the same time promote a sense of community.
Citizens can look forward to further projects that promote both the environment and coexistence in Bad Vöslau. With such enthusiasm and commitment, Bad Vöslau is well on its way to lifting not only its stairs, but also the hearts of its residents!
