Young pianist Alexandra Dovgan inspires in Eisenstadt!

The Autumn Gold Festival has once again won the hearts of music lovers, especially thanks to the impressive performance of the young pianist Alexandra Dovgan. On the final weekend of the festival, the 18-year-old, who comes from a talented family of musicians in Moscow, performed in the Haydn Hall at Esterházy Palace in Eisenstadt. Her combination of powerful, virtuoso piano playing and subtle nuances caused a great stir and cheers from the audience. Among other things, she played Edvard Grieg's only piano concerto and was rewarded for her performance with an enthusiastic encore. Loud courier Dovgan is an award-winning artist who knows how to play her way into the hearts of her listeners.

The Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra from Norway accompanied the young pianist under the direction of the renowned Julian Rachlin, who is known for his inspiring interpretations. Together they presented a musical fireworks display, culminating in the performance of Dvořák's “Carnival Overture”. The orchestra remained at the highest level in every passage, be it the haunting Largo or the dynamic sections of the final movement, and received a standing ovation from the enthusiastic audience. Two encores rounded off the evening and once again demonstrated the high musical quality of the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra.
