Major traffic disruptions from September 15th: diversions in Bregenz!
We are constantly faced with construction sites that make our everyday lives more difficult. From Monday, September 15, 2025, the people of Bregenz will have to prepare for traffic diversions and construction sites in the city area. The city of Bregenz informs that the Landstrasse/Im Roßhimmel intersection will be closed until October 3, 2025. The reason is necessary construction and excavation work, which will significantly impact the traffic situation. The city asks for your understanding and special attention in the area of changed traffic routing, as the elimination of stops and diversions could disrupt the city's usual rhythm. According to bregenz.gv.at, city bus lines 104 and 105 will be rerouted via Weidachstraße during this time, with the Feldmoosgasse stop no longer being needed.
During the diversion, the Landstrasse stop will be moved in front of the St. Columban Church, a change of location that passengers should keep an eye on. The diversion of line 104 after the train station moves the stop to Heustraße, so that all stops continue to be served while traffic takes a diversion via Weidachstraße.
Complete closure at the railway crossing
The diversions are widely signposted and include Herrenwiesenstraße, the B290 (west bypass), Schillerstraße and Unteren Graben. Pedestrians can still pass through the level crossing, but there are restrictions on the city bus routes, which do not serve some stops. Lines 956 and 957 are particularly affected. The city representatives deliberately chose this time frame during the summer holidays in order to minimize the disruption for citizens and tourists. In times when traffic disruptions are a daily challenge, the ADAC offers current information about the traffic flow on motorways, federal highways and in cities with its platform ADAC Maps. This real-time data can not only help find the best route, but also inform about upcoming construction sites and disruptions. Looking at the maps could help you drive more relaxed, especially if you are informed about the diversions. With all these changes that await us in the coming weeks, it is advisable to regularly keep yourself informed about the latest traffic reports. Road traffic in Bregenz and the surrounding area will continue to flow and will by no means become a source of traffic jams. Stay informed and drive carefully!Traffic overview and forecasts
