Voitsberg, Österreich - On July 23, 2025, 340 students from the seventh school level from the middle schools of the Voitsberg district experienced an exciting "professional experience day technology". This event was launched by the Economic Office Voitsberg to offer young people practical experiences in technical professions.

These occasions not only offered the pupils insight into everyday work, but also in possible training paths. The enthusiasm and the commitment that was brought up are an important part of career orientation.

In addition, the professional experience day also promoted the exchange between the 67 accompanying parents and the companies. Here inhibitions could be broken down and new perspectives opened. The middle schools in Bärnbach, Edelschrott, Krottendorf, Köflach, Mooskirchen, Stallhofen and Voitsberg were impressed by the cooperation of the economy with education.

Future -oriented projects

The format of the "professional experience day technology" will continue in the coming years. The organizers are already planning the continuation and expansion of this successful project, which not only contributes to securing skilled workers, but also increases the interest of young people for technical professions. Another event is planned for May 27, 2025, in which the pupils will also have the opportunity to actively solve themselves in the areas of solving, welding and even trying out with an excavator.
