The working world in Pinzgau offers young people more and more opportunities to shape their professional future. Karin Eiwan, branch manager of the AMS Zell am See, emphasizes the growing diversity of apprenticeships in the region. There are currently 47 apprentices looking for a training position - 19 girls and 28 boys. Retail is particularly popular, as it is extremely popular with both genders. Surprisingly, however, there are signs of a decline: compared to the previous year, 23 fewer apprenticeships were reported at the end of August 2025, which corresponds to a decrease of 8.2 percent.
Career orientation and trial days
The differences between the available apprenticeships and the interested apprentices are striking. Karin Eiwan appeals to companies to register their apprenticeships with the AMS so that young people can better take advantage of them. For many young people, it is advisable to receive support from the experts at the Career Information Center in their career orientation. Trial days in companies are an excellent way to gain an initial insight into everyday working life.
