On Saturday, May 31, 2025, the western town of Lucky Town in Großpetersdorf ceremoniously opened the doors for their 29th season. Like meinbezirk.at reported several thousand visitors to experience the spectacular opening. The invasion of horses and carriages at 6 p.m. from the main square, accompanied by the north and southern company and the Musikverein Jugendkapelle Großpetersdorf, formed a great start.
In bright sunshine, the western city presented itself in full splendor. The highlight of the opening was the U.S. Oldtimer parade with around 40 classic vehicles that made the heart of every car fan beat faster. Salutschützen announced the celebrations before the country band "New West" rocked the stage and Linedancer filled the dance floor. The audience also got its money's worth: the Prague formation "Crock 14" delighted with country-step dance and a rousing can-can-show. Later in the evening the rock band Now heated up! in the saloon and created the best mood.
Culinary delights and future events
The culinary offers also left nothing to be desired. Visitors were able to look forward to spare ribs, Lucky Burger and Lucky Dog, while refreshing drinks caused the necessary cooling. Clearly, celebrations are twice fun here!
But the celebrations did not end with the opening. The next events will be prepared for June. On June 9th, fans can look forward to the Country Ramblers and a line dance workshop, followed by Villa Sandi Party. Other highlights are the Dado Eldorado Band as well as a Western fashion show on June 16 and a Line Dance Workshop on June 23. If you stay until the end of June, you can look forward to the Move show dance and the SVG bar.

The western town of Lucky Town, located in the picturesque southern Burgenland, has a lot to offer for the small and young at heart in addition to the big events. The opening times in July and August are every Monday from 5:00 p.m. For the little adventurers there are pony rides, Indian encounters and a bouncy castle.
