Children design new buildings themselves: shape participation and shape the future!
In the 7th district of Vienna, the focus is on the ideas and wishes of the young generation. The campaign "Mix with!" offers children and adolescents the opportunity to actively participate in the design of their habitat. Under the motto "have a say. To help shape. Collect" you can bring your ideas about public space and thus shape the district according to your ideas. According to meinzirk.at, the Initiative is carried out in cooperation with the Cult.Kid Park care association.
The goal of this initiative is clear: The creative ideas of adolescents are to be implemented into concrete projects. Children and adolescents are invited to express their wishes - be it new play equipment, shady places or even free ice cream for the hot summer days. The campaign is part of a broader program that aims to promote child and youth-friendly freedom, which is of central importance for the healthy development of young people. This is also supported by the findings of the BBSR, which emphasize the importance of freedom for all generations.
activities and appointments
The initiative "Mix with!" has a number of exciting events in summer:
- On Wednesday, July 23, a discussion and planning meeting in Cult.café, Neustiftgasse 89–91, takes place from 5 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.

If you want to participate, you don't need to register - spontaneity is expressly desired! In this way, the ideas of the children and adolescents can be discussed live and implemented.
potential of freedom design
The participation of public space not only has an immediate impact on the current life of the young people, but also contributes to the long -term development of urban rooms. According to [Bezirksjournal.at] (https://www.bezirksjournal.at/ design-mit-kinder-und-jugendlichen-praegen-den-neubau/), it is crucial that the voices are heard by young citizens. You can not only express your wishes, but actually influence the design of your environment.
Free space planning should be viewed as a strategic field of action for the future of the future of cities. The involvement of children and adolescents in this process is central to find cross -sectional and cross -generational solutions. This not only promotes quality of life, but also creates places of cooperation that are accessible to all generations.
In the 7th district, it is not just about promise, but also about the active and lively design of a child -friendly environment. The initiative "Mix with!" shows that it is worth listening and integrating the young voices into the decision -making processes.
