Cash worries in the Baden district: Where is the next ATM?
Baden bei Wien, Österreich - In the Baden district, it is often a long way to a cash. The average distance to the nearest ATM is a proud 1.58 kilometers. Smaller communities such as Heiligenkreuz are particularly affected, where the citizens have been without access to their own ATM because of the closure of the local bank for several years. Gisela Fahrenberger, a resident, reports that many guests in the community often ask for an ATM and are accordingly upset if they don't find one. The next ATM is located in Alland, which is a certain challenge for the residents. Fahrenberger emphasizes that there have been discussions about the construction of a community center with ATMs for over 40 years, but without any progress.
Not only in Heiligenkreuz - also in Furth at Triesting there is no immediate need for an additional ATM. Mayor Natascha Partl explains that the next option is in Weissenbach. Citizens often commute to their jobs and do their errands in this neighboring town. Partl emphasizes that the frequency of a possible ATM in Furth would be rather low, which makes it difficult to choose the location - after all, the municipality comprises an area of 64 km².
cash supply in the district
community | distance to the next ATM Th>
| |
---|---|---|
Heiligenkreuz | No ATMs on site, next in Alland | bank closed years ago |
Furth on the Triesting | Next ATM in Weissenbach | hardly frequency for your own ATM |
Overall, it can be seen that despite the challenges in some communities, access to cash is quite comfortable in an overall Austrian context. However, the special situation in small communities reminds us that there is still a lot of potential for improvement to meet the needs of all citizens.
