Wien, Österreich - Today is the renaming of the local Agenda 21 to the Grätzllabor in Währing. This position has developed into a central point of contact for citizens: inside who actively want to help shape their residential area. The aims of the Grätzllabor are complex: more greening, better mobility and more livable neighborhoods are the focus. Project manager Peter Kühnberger explains that the new name should significantly increase the accessibility and comprehensibility of the project. The Grätzllabor acts as a platform, the district residents, district politics and the administration. Under the motto "Währing is at our feet", events take place regularly, in which the concerns and wishes of the citizens are: inside. The goal is clear: important places should be accessible on foot or by bike within a radius of 15 minutes, which benefits not only mobility, but also the quality of life.

The Grätzllabor also offers ongoing project groups such as the "confidence laboratory", which supports people in difficult conversations, or the "1000 leaves me (e) HR", which drives the greening in the district. Another project, the "Future on the Währinger Belt", aims to increase the quality of life on this important traffic node. The walks, already carried out, have provided valuable perspective knowledge that will be evaluated in a workshop next October.
