Bregenz, Österreich - The Austrian senior championship 2025 delighted from July 5th to 11th at TC Bregenz, where tennis friends got their money's worth. A total of 312 players registered for the championship - a new record for this event. More than 350 exciting matches were held over seven days, which underlines the high priority of this event. Vice President Verena Brünings, herself two-time Austrian champion, was extremely satisfied with the number of participants, especially in the men's competition 35 from ITN 6.0 with 41 entries and in the men's 80 competition, which had seven participants.

Totally impressive 32 competitions were held, and the final results of the past two days testify to gripping duels. So Claudia Boss (VTV) was able to win the women's singles 35 from ITN 8.5 against Anna Bösch (VTV) 6: 2, 6: 4. In the women's single 60 Petra Danzinger (WTV) over Isabella Reisenauer (Nötv) with 6: 1, 6: 0. There were also spectacular games in doubles: Heidrun Martinz (KTV) and Petra Danzinger won the women's double 60 against Helga Fitzinger (OötV) and Angelika Hattinger (STV) with 6: 4, 6: 2.

• men's single 80: Hans-Dietrich Heißl (TTV) defeated Richard Salzmann (VTV) 7: 5, 6: 0.
• Mixed: Heidrun Martinz (KTV) / Herbert Riederer (Nötv) defeated Helga Fitzinger (Oötv) / Viktor Majer (WTV) 6: 0, 6: 3.

The tournament apparently hit the nerve of the time, since not only the number of participants was worth mentioning. The quality of the games was also at the highest level. The great organization of TC Bregenz also came up with a real mood, the acquaintance again as an excellent host.

If this championship is inserted into the ongoing tennis calendar, the next big event is already in the house. The ÖTV senior hall championships 2025 will take place in the Colony Club in Vienna from February 1 to 4. Here, competitions for women and men are played out in different age groups.
