Dreiländer Giro 2025: Triumph and challenge for 3000 cycling professionals!

Nauders, Österreich - On June 30, 2025, Nauders turned into a true Mecca for cycling enthusiasts. Around 3,000 participants from over 40 nations took on the Dreiländergiro that took place under bright sunshine. The conditions could not have been better - the whole place was full of bike friends who were looking for the challenge.

The event offered two spectacular routes: the "Stelvio Engadin" over 168 kilometers with 3,300 meters of altitude and the "Stelvio Vinschgau" over 120 kilometers and 3,000 meters of altitude. Marcel Summer (AUT, Equipe Hondo) cracked the time for the Stelvio Engadin with impressive 5:00:04 hours and secured the overall victory. It was followed by Maxi Kirschner (AUT, Team Plasmatreat RTS Electronic) and Manuel Schreiber (AUT, Equipe Hondo), who also claimed their places on the podium.

The ladies in the spotlight

There was also an exciting race for women: Julia Schallau (GER, Team Curingshots) dominated the Stelvio Engadin route with a time of 5:21:31 hours. She was followed by the German driver Jael Kahler (GER, Team Strassacker) and Lisa Stein (GER, Team Lexxi). On the shortened route, Lisa Hartung (GER, EIC-Bike) celebrated their victory in 4:15:37 hours, while Christina Kapeller (Aut) and Anna Brandstätter (AUT) earn the other podium places.

For the first time, a new rating category for manual bikers was introduced, which gave the event a fresh and including note. However, the participants had to deal with high temperatures, which were a challenge not only for the drivers, but also for the material. Medical staff was therefore particularly challenged, especially on the Italian and Swiss side.

a festival for all

The event was more than just a bike race: On Saturday, June 29th, the Girodays started with a colorful supporting program. After the start of the start numbers and the subsequent warm-up, the participants were able to explore the Expo area from 10 a.m. and enjoy gastronomic delicacies. Highlights were the Schuhplattler performance of the Trachtengruppe Stillebacher and the celebrations for the target of the first participants: inside.

Over 400 volunteers ensured a smooth process and the numerous spectators loudly cheered on the starter. The cooperation of the medical services across the borders worked to the fullest satisfaction. And as it should be, the "pork gang" were again the largest group among the cyclists.

The next three -country giro will take place on June 28, 2026, with the registration starting in November 2025. If you want to experience the energetic atmosphere and the sporting competition up close, you should definitely note the appointment.
