District cheeky festival in Roppen: A holiday for choral music!

Roppen, Österreich - in Roppen was recently celebrated the district chief, to which over 30 choirs at the invitation of Pepi Kraneblitter, the district chairman and deputy. State chairman of the Tirol Choir Association. With their singing and enthusiasm for choral music, they ensured an unforgettable experience.

The event started at Löckpuitplatzl with a festive march to the parish church of Roppen. There, more than 100 singers intoned the famous "shaggy march". Despite a threatening short thunderstorm, the singers found refuge in the church in good time, where numerous listeners were already looking forward to the program.

Ten choirs presented a wide range of choral music that caused goosebumps in the present. Pastor Johannes Laichner emphasized the importance of choral singing for various celebrations and the spectators were enthusiastic about the variety of performances. Pepi Kraneblitter thanked the choirs for their numerous participation and described the event as unique.

Speaking of uniqueness: A total of twelve choirs were able to perform their songs on the fairground next to the church and show what they can do on it. Klaus Heiß and Johannes Nagele were also honored with the "Honor in Gold" of the Choir Association Tyrol - a deserved recognition of their commitment.

The solemn words of the guests of honor, including LR Rene Zumtobel and Mayor Ingo Mayr, underlined the relevance of the common choir singing. The association offers a broad training program that ranges from children's and youth singing camps to singing and choir director weeks.

The history of the choir association goes back over 160 years.
