Naderer remains WKO chairman: strong voice for Freistädter economy!
At the constituent meeting of the district office committee of the WKO Freistadt, Christian Naderer was confirmed to his office as district office chairman for the term of office by 2030. Naderer, who has been working independently in Tragwein since 2004 with his advertising agency Naderer Communication in Tragwein. He has been involved in the business council since 2015 and has been responsible for over 4,500 commercial companies in the Freistadt district since December 1, 2019. In addition, he is also the chairman of the supervisory board in the Mühlviertel Tourism Association and Vice President of the Mühlviertel fair in Freistadt.
In his inaugural speech, Naderer emphasized the need for a strong regional voice for companies, especially in economically challenging times. "We face major challenges and an united appearance is essential," said Naderer. A central concern is the skilled worker and apprenticeship security. There are currently 265 apprenticeships and 746 apprentices in the Freistadt district, and initiatives such as "Mein Job Freistadt" and the professional experience day on November 14 should serve young people as a platform for career orientation.
shortage of skilled workers as a challenge
The shortage of skilled workers, a topic that the Austrian government also focuses on, will continue to strengthen itself in the coming years. This is not just a challenge for the Mühlviertel, but also affects many regions and industries in Austria. The Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs specialist monitor shows that around 240,000 jobs will be more to be filled by 2026 than available workers. These trends ensure alarm mood, because the right specialists are essential for prosperity and economic strength.
The Federal Government has already advertised a comprehensive skilled worker strategy that includes five essential fields of action, including contemporary training and targeted further training. It is also particularly important to improve the quality of work, which promotes employee -oriented work culture, as well as a modern immigration policy to address international specialists.
investments and infrastructure
In the Freistadt district, public investments in future -oriented projects are continued. This includes residential construction, school construction as well as kindergartens and after -school care facilities. Health and security supply is also expanded and road construction is progressing. Particularly noteworthy is the infrastructural impulse by the S10 between Linz and Freistadt, which has a very positive effect on the economic development of the Mühlviertel.
Another important construction project, the Rainbach bypass, is expected to be completed by the middle of 2027. However, there is also criticism of negative signals from Vienna, in particular with regard to the expansion of the regional trains in Upper Austria, such as the Summerauerbahn and the Regiotram from Linz-Auhof to Pregarten. Here the nuclear part of the Regio-Stadtbahn is secured by a 15a agreement, but an extension to the Mühlviertel is still pending.
The new district office committee, which includes entrepreneurs such as Josef Gärtner, Alexander Haberkorn and Christoph Heumader, will support Naderer in implementing these challenges. Schneider emphasizes that in this critical phase you have to see the strengthening of regional networks and training offers as the key to success.
Overall, there are exciting years at the WKO Freistadt, and Christian Naderer is well positioned with a strong team under the direction of Thomas Denk to tackle the challenges of the future. The way to secure specialists and regional economic development is clear, but the cooperation of all players on the labor market will be decisive.
The clever minds and active entrepreneurs on site who actively work for the future of the Mühlviertel will be indispensable.
