On Sunday evening, July 7, 2025, a violent storm made the city of Mödling take notice in Lower Austria. Between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. the Mödling volunteer fire brigade was deployed with over 25 emergency services and seven vehicles to eliminate the dangers.

A total of 14 locations were affected, with the fire brigade being able to intervene in a targeted manner. A large branch fell on a parked car in Neugasse, which caused considerable damage to the vehicle.
