Wolfsberg music students triumph at the federal competition in Vienna!
Wolfsberg, Österreich - music is in the air - and not without reason! This year's national competition "Prima La Musica" took place between May 28 and June 9 in Vienna and attracted around 900 young talents from all over Austria, South Tyrol and Liechtenstein. Venues were the renowned University of Music and Performing Art Vienna as well as the music and art of private university of the city of Vienna. And the performances were not only a musical enjoyment, but also an emotional experience for the participants and listeners.
This competition, which celebrated its 30th anniversary this year, is the largest platform for young classical musicians: inside and represents an important step in musical training. "Music of Youth" has been actively involved in promoting young talents for three decades, and over 100,000 children and young people have benefited from the competitions.

The stage of the Schönbrunn castle theater offered a festive framework for the award ceremonies. Young musicians were awarded: inside in different age groups and categories. The highlight was the awarding of gold prices:
- Clarissa Zarfl (flute, AG I, 91.00 points)
- Paul Weinberger (trumpet/flugelhorn, AG II, 90.00 points)
- Tobias Wordl (trumpet/flugelhorn, AG IIiplus, 94.00 points)
Silver go to Christian Maximilian Pongratz (Tuba, AG I, 86.00 points), Lena Baumgartner (accordion), Julia Zarfl (recorder) and the duo Enchanté! (AG III, 77.00 points), while the duo Pi-Yama (chamber music for accordion, AG II, 74.80 points) was awarded bronze. It was particularly gratifying that Paul Weinberger also received a 1st price for his companion.
Another outstanding moment was the award from Clemens Hinteregger, who was able to shine over 95 points with the Golden Award with Commendation at the Bolero International Solist Competition in Slovenia. The team of teachers, led by Georg Guggenberger, contributed with great commitment to the musical accompaniment of these successes.
