New board for the Hermagor region: Visions for the future!

A lot is happening in the Hermagor region: The local action group (LAG) not only made important decisions in its recently held general assembly, but also chose new faces to the board. The proven chairman Johann Windbichler remains at the top for another two years and will continue to steer the group's fortunes. This took place in early June and was an important step for the future development of the region.

New in the team are VDIR. Mario Oberortner from the Raiffeisenbank Karnische Region and Elisabeth Druml from the Carinthia Chamber of Agriculture. The board consists of a colorful potpourri of representatives of the public sector, business and social areas. Those responsible hope to combine the various interests in the region in the best possible way. Political representatives such as Christian Müller from Gitschtal and Markus Salcher from Kirchbach bring additional expertise into the group, while representatives from education, tourism and youth bring fresh perspectives. Ing. Rainer Holz for craft and industry is also part of the board of directors, which will control the project selection for leader projects.

An emotional moment was the farewell of Mag. Iris Jaritz, a long -time and valued representative of the Carinthia Chamber of Agriculture. She was thanked for her tireless efforts in the region. It is such valuable contributions that strengthen the LAG region Hermagor as a central player in the sustainable development of the region.

Leader strategy for the future

What is pending now? The LAG region Hermagor looks into the coming years with optimism. Preparations for new projects for sustainable further development are already underway. The group is based on the Leader Development Strategy (LES), which includes projects from the fields of economy, environment and tourism.
