New altar consecrated: Feldkirchen celebrates a spiritual glow!

Feldkirchen, Österreich - A solemn event in Feldkirchen: On June 15, 2025, Bishop Wilhelm Krautwaschl blessed the new altar and Ambo of the parish church as part of a festive ceremony. This act marked the end of the internal renovation of the church, which included comprehensive renovation work - including new pews, which now shine the room in new splendor. According to meinbezirk.at , the parish council and pastor Edi Muhrer were significantly involved in the implementation, while Roswitha Scharl is considered a supporting pillar of the project.

Thank you very much for the donors. Hans Perstling from the parish council cordially invited to thank the committed Roswitha Scharl and other supporters. Particularly noteworthy is the well -known contribution by Sepp Binder, which significantly promoted the success of the project through his private foundation. The Graz artist Kurt Straznicky, who grew up in Neu-Seierberg and spent his school days in Feldkirchen, designed the new altar elements from synthetic resin, which give the church a spiritual lighting.

a diocesan bishop with great responsibility

The Bishop of Graz-Seckau, Wilhelm Krautwaschl, who was consecrated to the diocesan bishop almost ten years ago today, was visibly moved by the warm congratulations that Mayor Erich Gosch and Vice Mayor Christa Modl granted. His consecration, which took place in the Graz Cathedral, was led by Archbishop Franz Lackner and attracted around 1,000 guests. 23 bishops and 80 priests also took part in this ceremony, which underlined the importance of the bishop and the ceremony, such as dioezese-linz.at reported.

Krautwaschl always emphasizes the central role of the gospel in his work and sees it as his task to achieve people with the message of God. His responsibility extends across the entire diocese in Styria, where he also places a special focus on the satisfaction of his employees. In the Advent season one could say that it is very important: with numerous trade fairs and services, he brings hope and joy that faith in Jesus offers in the hearts of people.

traditions and memories

For Krautwaschl, the Christmas holidays, which he traditionally begin with an early fair with the Carmelitists in Bärnbach, are always something special. At Christmas, he visits the governor's people who work in clinics, police or social institutions in an exemplary manner. His childhood memories of the celebrations on the farm in Gleisdorf include singing festive songs and a magnificently decorated Christmas tree that still accompany him.

planned was a parish festival to celebrate Altarweih, but this was canceled for reasons of pietary reasons. Instead, an agape took place after the service, in which the community came together to celebrate the positive changes in its church. The newly designed elements not only have the church, but also the hearts of the believers and give hope for the future.
