Penzinger students discover the space: art project enthusiastic!

Penzing, Österreich - An exciting school project of the Sonnenschule elementary school in Lortzinggasse in Penzing recently caused great enthusiasm. Under the title "Little Artists-Big Artists", the students of classes 2a and 2b worked with the well-known artist Caren Dinges . As part of the project, which was carried out in the course of the "Culture Connected" of the OEAD, the children devoted themselves to the fascinating topic - from sparkling stars to distant planets to mysterious galaxies.

The kids were very active themselves. They researched, outlined innovative ideas and created colorful works of art that reflect their knowledge and creativity. "It is impressive what the children have put together in this short time," said Dinges, who even understood in nature and understood artistic principles early in their lives. The highlights of the project also included an exciting visit to the Vienna Planetarium, where the students were allowed to learn under the clouds of the universe, and participation in the renowned "Vienna Art Market".

mural as a lasting memory

The most impressive result was a common mural that the children created together with Dinges. This colorful work of art proudly adorns the corridors of the elementary school and delights the students and teachers every day. The creative exchange not only promoted the children's artistic skills, but also their interest in art and science.

Caren Dinges, which was born in Ramsau am Dachstein in 1962 and opened its own art statelier in Vienna after artistic training and many exhibitions at home and abroad in 2007, often combined the world of art with nature in their projects. In her studio, she not only offers painting courses, but also inspires children with nature -loving teaching units that come from her own philosophy and experience from her Herbert in forest pedagogy.

art education and school education

In addition to her artistic projects, Dinges relies on ongoing education and has been involved in various courses such as wilderness education and herbal pedagogy in recent years. These topics are not only exciting for the children, they also open up perspectives that go far beyond the classroom and make a valuable contribution to ecological education.

An example of this is the magazine Imago , which combines art education research with practical aspects of the lesson. These types of initiatives show how narrow art and learning are related and how important it is to promote creative approaches to optimize the educational process.

Overall, the project at the Sonnenschule elementary school is an excellent example of how school and art can be combined creatively. It seems as if the little artists in Penzing not only successfully live out their art talents, but also their imagination and their thirst for knowledge.
