Vaccination campaigns at Pride and Danube Island Festival - free protection for everyone!
In the colorful and pulsating city of Vienna, two large events are back around the door where the city of Vienna has a special offer for its citizens. The rainbow parade takes place on June 14th, followed by the popular Danube Island Festival from June 20th to June 22nd. At both events, the city will offer vaccinations to promote health care and contribute to the protection of the public, such as meindezirk.at reported.
The vaccination campaign during the rainbow parade will take place on June 14th between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. in Lichtenfelsgasse 1 to 3. Here visitors can use vaccinations against hpv (humane papilloma viruses), TSME (ticks) and mpox (monkey quail). Particularly gratifying: the HPV vaccination is free of charge for everyone from 9 to 30 years, provided that no prior vaccination can be proven.

The Health Service of the City of Vienna (MA 15) not only takes care of vaccination campaigns, but is also available for a wide range of health care, medical examinations and advice. For example, the expansion of the free HPV vaccination up to 21 years has been offered since February 2023, which makes the city of Vienna a pioneer in health prevention, such as press.wien.gv.at confirmed.
These actions are part of a broader strategy to improve health care and promote vaccination protection, as well as the wien.gv.at. The health service has continued to develop in recent years and always adapts its offer to the current needs. Whether at events or in everyday life, the goal remains to support and protect the Viennese population in the best possible way.
