Future Ausser: Association is fighting a lack of employees in the district!
Reutte, Österreich - The shortage of skilled workers has been a big topic in Tyrol for years, especially in the Reutte district. In order to effectively counter this problem, the association "Future Ausser" has founded itself. This initiative has set itself the goal of guiding new employees into the region and increasing the attractiveness of the place of work outside. The association was launched during a founding meeting in the Reutte Chamber of Commerce and was able to win Simon Schweiger as a unanimous chairman. Richard Alber and Michael Graf support him as deputies. The board consists of several members who deal with topics such as network maintenance and personnel matters, including the Welcome Center, which plays a central role in membership acquisition. The association currently has 17 members, including well -known companies such as Plansee and Multivac, and aims to further increase the number of members.
The planned Welcome Center, which is intended to support the recruitment of workers, is particularly important. Here newcomers not only get information about finding a job, but also for looking for an accommodation and first steps in the region. Andrea Speckbacher is responsible for this center, while Gordon Beck is on duty on July 1st. The official opening is sought for September. According to those responsible, the Welcome Center will also answer basic questions and provide support for bureaucracy matters. Planned workshops, information evenings and special welcome events should promote the integration of new workers.challenges for the business location Tirol
But progress is not only accompanied by the establishment of new initiatives. The Tyrol business location faces significant challenges. Higher tax and wage costs are increasingly burdening the competitiveness of the companies. Significant figures show that wage costs have increased by 20 % in the past three years, while the tax rate of Austria is the third highest among the OECD countries. President Barbara Thaler of the Tyrol Chamber of Commerce points out that these costs make “made in Austria” expensive. The decline in industry and dein industrialization are a serious threat to existing jobs.
The Chamber of Commerce survey shows that 83 %of companies see labor costs as their biggest problem, followed by a shortage of labor (51 %) and energy costs (46 %). Thaler therefore urgently demands an improvement in the political framework: tax relief and modern administration are necessary to provide the companies in the region air to breathe. In the long term, the "Employer brand Ausserfern" initiative should also help to gain qualified specialists and strengthen the regional economy. For companies in the Reutte district, measures such as a central welcome center and integrated job platforms are of great importance.
long -term solutions and a look into the future
The current situation is continued by the shortage of skilled workers, which has been observed in Tyrol for at least 30 years. The challenges of demographic developments and structural change in the world of work are immense. An analysis of the AMS Tirol shows that 75 % of Tyrolean companies are affected by the shortage of skilled workers. Forecasts indicate that the situation could continue to tighten in the coming years: 80 % of the companies expect an increase in the shortage of skilled workers.
Overall, it is essential for the region to find sustainable solutions that not only meet short -term needs, but also ensure competitiveness in the long term. Special slightly advanced measures are the upgrading of vocational training and the increased focus on practice -oriented training content. HTL Reutte recently has its first Matura year and would also like to contribute to the issue of emigration.
The coming years will be crucial for whether the region remains attractive as a location for qualified employees. The newly founded "Future Ausser" Association could make an important contribution to actively addressing the challenges.
