Kufstein is investing in the future: new loading park for e-mobility opened!
Kufstein, Österreich - in Kufstein something is happening - in the area of electromobility. A new loading park with nine public charging points was opened today, on June 23, 2025, in the underground car park of the Kufsteiner Culture. This project is the result of fertile cooperation between Bodner Immobilien and the Stadtwerke Kufstein, which thus set a strong sign of promoting sustainable mobility.
The loading points are equipped with modern wall boxes that offer an output of 11 kW per point. "We attach great importance to future -oriented solutions, and cooperation is of crucial importance," explains project manager Marc Rappenecker. Head of Head Ralph Lagler also emphasizes that this initiative should make an important contribution to improving urban quality of life.
charging infrastructure for all
The new loading park is accompanied by a beecar location where two electric cars are available. This not only brings comfort for users, but also promotes the acceptance of electric vehicles in the region. "Electromobility is not just a trend, but an important step towards a more environmentally friendly future," said the head of the municipal utility company.
Whoever thinks that the shop is cumbersome is wrong. Anyone who scans the QR code on the charging station can find out about the respective costs during the payment process. Several payment options are available for use, including the app or the keyfob of Stadtwerke Kufstein. The current tariffs are also attractive: 0.49 ct/kWh gross for AC charging stations, while the DC charging stations with 0.59 ct/kWh gross are praised, as Stadtwerke Kufstein communicate.
a trend with foresight
This initiative in Kufstein fits in a larger context, because electromobility is an important environmental, economic and sociopolitical topic in today's world. In line with the federal government, which would like to reduce emissions in traffic by 40 to 42 percent by 2030. The focus is on the electrification of road -bound traffic. fraunhofer isi actively researches various aspects of electromobility and examines new mobility concepts as well as the required infrastructure structure.
With such projects such as the Ladepark in Kufstein, not only is the acceptance of e-mobility increased, but a fundamental contribution to the turn of traffic is also made. The future of mobility is electrical - and Kufstein drives in front!
