Desiree Kuhn, the new franchisee at the age of 29, took over the scepter from her father Dietmar Kuhn on July 1, 2025. "I would like to offer a modern restaurant experience that inspires customers," explains the new restaurant manager.

Desiree Kuhn, who previously worked as a training manager and business manager in Knittelfeld and Judenburg, knows the business very well. She has been busy with McDonald’s for 13 years and therefore has a lot of experience. Your team will include around 50 employees who will work together to optimize the customer offer. "We will make sure that our guests feel comfortable," says Kuhn confidently.

The transition to new hands

While Dietmar Kuhn focuses on other locations in Germany, Gralla, Judenburg and Rosental, the restaurant in Knittelfeld will remain family -owned. Andreas Gamsjäger, who has over 30 years of experience as a franchisee at McDonald’s, handed over the two restaurants in Judenburg and Knittelfeld to Dietmar Kuhn. As part of the restructuring, the McDonald’s branch in Judenburg is planning a move to the Arena Fohnsdorf. A modern, two -story restaurant building is being built there, the construction work of which is already well advanced. The opening is targeted for autumn 2025, while the existing branch in Judenburg will be closed. "We want to shine with fresh concepts and retail culture," says the new management.
