The heart's desire fulfilled: The sick Johannes experienced the IRFC in Leoben

Leoben, Österreich - A moving chapter has developed in Leoben at the benefit event Iron Road for Children (IRFC). Ten -year -old Johannes, a seriously ill boy and big fan of US bikes and cars, had the desire to eat with an American sled. Thanks to the club rolling angel, his dream seemed tangible for a short time. But as [Kleine Zeitung] (https://www.kleinezeitung.at/steiermark/leoben/19823411/johannes-10-war-bei-leoben-nur- Mehr-per-livestream-dabei), John's health deteriorated dramatically before the event.

Last weekend, the IRFC attracted impressive 45,000 visitors who not only wanted to indulge in the fascinating vehicle exit, but also wanted to support Johannes. Florian Aichhorn, the head behind rolling angels, informed in an emotional video that Johannes could not personally participate in the event. The planned journey in the special vehicle of the association was canceled, which made the situation particularly impressive.

A virtual wish will come true

Despite the setbacks, the organizers and supporters remained optimistic. In order to make Johannes part of the event, a creative solution was found: he was able to follow the trips on his mother's cell phone live. Aichhorn called the community to set up along the route and wave with transparent and posters for Johannes. Many IRFC fans followed this call to show the boy their solidarity.

"I wonder if a lot of people will stand and wave on the side of the road", Johannes had previously asked when the good news was brought to him. Scenes like this make it clear how closely the people in the region hold together to donate strength to him and his family. Visitors from other federal states and neighboring countries traveled to support Johannes. On Monday after the event, however, the very sad news came that Johannes had died.

a long way of support

The association rolling angel not only provides support in such difficult times, but also works for sick and disabled children in general.
