TSV Hartberg celebrates Champions League debut-fan trip to the first game!
On Tuesday, July 16, 2025, TSV Hartberg volleyball opened a glamorous chapter in its history. On this historical day, not only the transfer of full-back Lukas Glatz to the Italian first division club Rana Verona Volley was announced, but the draw for the upcoming Champions League season also took place in Hartberg Palace. The Hartberger pulled the big lot because they first compete in the Champions League and were drawn to Aaka volley, the Finnish champion.
The TSV chairman Manfried Schuller did not miss the opportunity to express his joy over the lot and announced that it would plan a fan trip to support the supporters to the far north. The first leg against Aaka volley will take place on October 22nd in the Stadtwerke-Hartberg-Halle before the second leg follows in Finland a week later. The anticipation is literally tangible!
step into the Champions League
Participation in the Champions League represents a milestone for TSV Hartberg. The team has developed the space in European competition through their performance. The Champions League round is held in the "home and away" format, which means that they are played in both Hartberg and Finland. As usual, fans can expect an exciting challenge that depends on a point system:
gaming result Th> | Points Th> |
---|---|
winner 3: 0 or 3: 1 | 3 points |
winner 3: 2 | 2 points |
loser 2: 3 | 1 point |
loser 0: 3 or 1: 3 | 0 points |
In the event of a tie, there may be a “golden set” that is played immediately after the second game to separate the teams. A tie break set with 15 points must be obtained, with a minimum lead of 2 points required.
a special jersey for special times
To celebrate the Champions League participation, the official Champions League jersey of TSV Hartberg was also presented, which was created by the Italian design studio Ninesquared. This jersey will soon be available for all fans and is already a much sought -after collector's item.
Another reason to joy is the transfer by Lukas Glatz, which was made as part of the “Volleyball Senza Confini” project. This project, launched in 2023, aims to promote cooperation between Hartberg, Verona and Bulgaria, especially in promoting young talent. The efforts of the young generation of volleyball show that TSV Hartberg and its partners have a good hand to secure the future of volleyball.
Overall, this historical day could be a turning point for TSV Hartberg. The fans can look forward to exciting games, a great jersey and an unforgettable fan trip! While the players are preparing for the challenges, it will be interesting to see how the team is doing in the Champions League.
