Berg drama in Bad Goisern: Hiker falls heavily, rapid rescue takes place!

Hoher Kalmberg, Österreich - On June 12, 2025, a serious accident occurred on the descent below the Kalmberg. The 62-year-old Doris K. fell and contracted injuries to the ankle and wrist. Her companion immediately set the emergency call, which led to the alarm of the Bad Goisern mountain rescue. This was on site within 45 minutes and was able to ensure the first aid of the victims by a in advance. After the first aid, Doris K. was transported to the forest road with a vacuum mattress and a Ferno-stretcher by means of a terrestrial recovery. There the emergency services handed over the patient to the Red Cross, which she brought to the SKG Klinikum Bad Ischl. This incident fits into a number of serious accidents in the Austrian mountains.
