Two outstanding students of the LFS Tamsweg win Rostock Prize!

Tamsweg, Österreich - An exciting event took place on July 9, 2025 at the agricultural technical schools (LFS) in Salzburg. On this day, twelve talented and committed young people were awarded the coveted Rostock Prize. This prize not only recognizes outstanding academic achievements, but also the social commitment of the students in their school communities. It is particularly gratifying that two students from the LFS Tamsweg, Raphael Landschützer and Michael Schiffer, are among the award winners this year and thus underline the successes of their school. As reports meinzirk.at, the price is endowed with 575 euros and is increased thanks to the support of the Salzburg home and warehouses to around 720 euros.

But who are the other award winners? A colorful selection of talents from different locations was recognized: Katharina Dürnberger and Paula Lang from the BHM Kleßheim, Theresa Fager from the LFS Winklhof, as well as Bastian Rindler and Johannes Holleis from the LFS Bruck are just a few of the excellent students. This award has been awarded for decades, donated by Reinhold and Anna Rostock, and thus shows a long tradition of promoting commitment and educational efforts to the Lfs.

final year with records

With the awarding of the prices, the school year 2024/25 ended at the agricultural technical schools. This year, a total of 109 pupils have successfully completed their training in the field of company and household management. The LFS Winklhof deserves special mention, where 20 graduates achieved a qualification for additional strength in elementary formation. At other locations, additional qualifications were offered in nursing assistance and pharmaceutical and commercial assistance, whereby the training in nursing assistant at the Brucker School has been on offer for five years. This makes it clear that agricultural training in Salzburg offers very sought -after and diverse career paths, as Salzburg.gv.at.

State Councilor Josef Schwaiger, who was also present at the award, emphasized the importance of these awards for promoting the personal and professional development of young people. He is convinced that graduates are well prepared for their own professional challenges through their practice -oriented training in agriculture and other areas. With 320 graduates this year there is not only a record number, but also a significant confirmation of the high interest in these training stands, such as Regionews.eu The positive image is rounded off by the new registrations: 380 pupils have already enrolled for the next school year, which points out that the LFS is still a sought -after educational institution. With the focus on modernized educational institutions and practice -oriented lessons, those responsible want to meet the requirements of the labor market and offer young people a job guarantee after their completion.
