Niederwaldkirchner Duo wins at Alpen racing bike stages!
Innsbruck, Österreich - The enthusiastic mood around the current Tour Transalp 2025 is hardly to be overlooked. From June 15th to 21st, the participants drove through the breathtaking Alps at this international stage race. For the Niederwaldkirchner team "Bike Next125 Hackl habitats", represented by the two athletes Christian Oberngruber from Putzleinsdorf and Rene Pammer from St. Johann, the adventure ended particularly successfully. They triumphed on all seven stages and secured the overall victory with an impressive lead of 26 minutes and 50 seconds.
This year, in its 21st edition, the Tour Transalp experienced its debt in Innsbruck as the starting point and led the cyclists over almost 650 kilometers with 16,500 meters of altitude to the picturesque destination Riva del Garda on Lake Garda. The route was peppered with challenging climbs, including the famous Stilfser Joch, one of the highest alpine passes with over 2,800 meters of altitude.
strong team and pure challenge
Oberngruber and Pammer are not only talented athletes, but also show how close teamwork can decide on success or failure. They expanded their winning streak, which began in the past two years. They received support from their dedicated support team around Franz Hackl, Martina Thaller, Reinhard Leitner and Martin Hammerschmid. This crew ensured technical support, meals and physiotherapeutic measures during the race, which is of crucial importance in such demanding competitions.
But the success story of the Mühlviertel team does not end here: The team "Elektro Reindl Powered by Katzinger Hydraulikschhose Service" was also in the race, with Matthias Brunner, Johannes Pernsteiner, Herbert Stöbich and Martin Höglinger took the places ten and eleven in the Masters team classification. Johannes Kobler from Altenfelden made it to 24th place in the individual ranking - a considerable success with this extreme challenge.
insights and key moments
The format of the Tour Transalp is designed for ambitious hobby cyclists. The participants can compete both as a single start and in teams of two. Material stations and medical care are guaranteed throughout the race in order to offer the participants the best possible support. The route not only includes well -known passes such as the Mortirolo and the Kühtai, but also less used streets in the Bergamasker Alps, which is the charm of the tour.
For the upcoming next Transalp Challenge, shorter variants of three and four days have been introduced, which will also take place from June 15th to 21st. Such offers attract more and more sports enthusiasts who want to try the unique Alpine scenarios.
For everyone who wants to experience a piece of adventure, the official website offers the opportunity to register - the start fees vary between 1,299 and 1,799 euros per person.
Another highlight for cyclists is on 28th to 30th June with the Transalp 2025. The anticipation is already noticeable, a sign that the passion for cycling is also alive in our region.
