New hope for Rindbach: Dream beach opens on Lake Traun!

Rindbach, Österreich - On June 5, 2023, the new lido in Rindbach was ceremoniously opened. Mayor Sabine Promberger welcomed numerous guests, including the managing director of Rohrdorfer, Peter Fürhapter, as well as representatives of the HTL Hallstatt and members of the municipal board. The project for redesigning the lido was made possible by a collaboration between various players, including the Rohrdorfer, the municipality of Ebensee and the Regis Association. The professional design of the lido was carried out as part of a competition at HTL Hallstatt, where the teachers Kurt Ellmauer and Andreas Zohner were significantly involved in the implementation.

A special focus is on the sustainable development of the lido, although the financial support also came from the torrent and avalanche development (WLV) and the Austrian Federal Forest (ÖBF). The renovation aims to make the Rindbach local recreation area attractive for both locals and guests and thus increase the quality of life in the region. Here, environmentally friendly and barrier -free uses are in the foreground.

The lido project is part of a comprehensive plan of the market town of Ebensee am Traunsee. According to the project description, the municipality pursues several measures to make the Rindbach lido even more inviting. This includes, among other things, the partial removal of the existing bank wall, the flattening of the lake shore and the creation of barrier -free uses. Particularly noteworthy is the focus on a sustainable journey by bike, here e-bike charging stations are to be set up in order to strengthen ecological consciousness.

The rental of storage boxes for bathing utensils is used in addition to improving the infrastructure and the comfort of the bathers. The lido provides its part to promote social interaction and cohesion within the community with these far -reaching measures. According to the project managers, 60 % of funding is ensured by funding, which enables the implementation of the ambitious plans.

The new lido is not only an upgrading of the local recreation area, but also a sign of the connection and commitment of the municipality of Ebensee. In the past, there have been numerous public events in which the focus was on the integration of citizens. A total of around 140 people took part in workshops who contributed to the design of the concepts and thus strengthen the feeling of community. Tradition and innovation combine here in a particularly successful way to create an attractive leisure offer.

With the opening of the Rindbach lido, the municipality sets a strong signal: local recreation should not only be accessible in the region, but also environmentally conscious and community -promoting. In the future it will also be exciting how the further developments in the area of ​​local recreation and infrastructure at Lake Traunsee will make the region even more alive. The first steps are taken and guests can look forward to a summer full of activities and relaxation.
