Carina Piber from St. Radegund: State champion in five speeds!

St. Radegund, Österreich - A radiant triumph for Carina Piber from St. Radegund: At the Austrian championships in Icelandic horse sports, the talented rider secured the state championship title in five speeds. The competition took place from July 3 to 6, 2025 on the facility of the Icelandic horses Reithof Piber and attracted around 260 participants, including the Crème de la Crème of the Austrian Icelandic Horse conductor and international guest rider from Germany, Italy and Switzerland. According to Tips Piber got an overall grade of 7.50 and thus also secured the five-speed one.

The tournament managers, Tamara Zöhrer and Martina Pleschofeig, were enthusiastic about the high performance standard and the visibility of the Icelandic horaming in the region. "It's great to see that we could carry out such an event. The mood was fantastic," said Zöhrer. Piber was also pleased with the achievements that were shown during the tournament. "The level was really impressive," remarked Piber, who works as a sports officer at the Sportunion Icelandic Horse Reithof Piber.

Due to her victory, Carina Piber also qualified for the upcoming World Championships in Birmensdorf, Switzerland, which will take place in August 2025.
