Gerhild Thalhammer: New Primaria of Trauma Surgery in the Salzkammergut!

Large changes are before in the Salzkammergut Klinikum Bad Ischl: With Dr.in Gerhild Thalhammer, a new Primaria of Trauma Surgery will take over the helm from August 1, 2025. The Gmundner native succeeds Prim.a Dr.in Johanna Berger, who will take up her well -deserved retirement after 20 years. Dr.in Gerhild Thalhammer, 49 years old and grew up in Altmünster, brings an impressive career. After studying medicine in Vienna, she gained specialist training at the University Clinic for Trauma Surgery at AKH Vienna since 2002. She most recently worked as a head of station and team leader at the clinical department for trauma surgery. In addition, she heads the special outpatient clinic for hand surgery and is active in research with the “Hand” cluster at the Medical University of Vienna.
