New pergolas for the popular pump track in Wiener Neustadt!

On June 18, 2025, a new area for relaxation and for lingering the popular "Pump & Jump Track" was officially inaugurated in Wiener Neustadt. In cooperation with HTL Wiener Neustadt, the city of Wiener Neustadt has built two new pergolas that offer users of the extensive leisure area on the tens belt a welcome opportunity to rest. Mayor Klaus Schneeberger and sports city council Philipp Gerstenmayer thanked the students and teachers of the HTL for their committed participation in this project.

The pergolas, made of a planed larch massif wood and on stable foundations, mounted with adjustable column shoes, donations, especially in the angle of lamellae, donate valuable shade, especially in the midday hours. The assembly took place in June 2025 after construction work began in March of the same year under the direction of Günter Reisner. The pupils of the 2nd and 3rd classes of the HTL actively grabbed and thus learn practical skills as part of their training.

The "Pump & Jump Track" was opened a year ago and extends over an area of ​​5,000 square meters. The system includes various attractions, including pump tracks-in a simple and difficult execution-, a roller play area, a scooter loop, a mountain bike track and the jumpline loops, which are one of the few of their kind in Europe. With a total budget of around 1.3 million euros, the area offers countless opportunities for cycling and skating, and has established itself as a central meeting point in the city. Opening times are daily from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., so that everyone is accessible, which makes the offer even more attractive.

The entirety of the pump track system comprises around 1,650 square meters on various routes associated with residence and green areas. There are special offers for younger visitors, such as a small asphalt pump track for bike drivers and a movement area for toddlers. These aspects promote movement and social interaction among children and adolescents in the region.
