Waldviertel: Inclusion for young people - gain snack as a victory premium!

Waldviertel, Österreich - In recent years, including professional integration in Austria has become significantly more important. In the Waldviertel in particular, Caritas sets new standards with its program to support people with disabilities. The initiative goes beyond mere words because it maintains close partnerships with local companies in order to integrate people with support in the labor market. MeinDärzirk reports that is diverse and free of charge and offers support in professional orientation as well as when entering work.

The goal of Caritas is to help young people with support and people with disabilities to overcome the hurdles of the labor market. Companies in Lower Austria also benefit by receiving non -binding support with all questions about inclusion. In order to raise awareness of this important project, a competition was launched under the motto "A snack for your company", in which companies were able to win a free snack for your team if you have the question "What does the abbreviation Neba stand for?" answered correctly.

competition winners and support offers

The participating companies from the Waldviertel took the chance to become aware of the valuable offer. The winners in April, who could be happy about a snack, are:

  • Zwettl: Hartl Haus
  • Gmünd: Quality Laboratory Lower Austria
  • Waidhofen/Thaya: Café in the middle of
  • horn: Raiffeisen warehouse Weitersfeld

The snack was delivered by the teams of professional integration directly on site, another step to establish a personal connection to the companies.

Another industry power plant is the network of professional assistance (NEBA), which is funded by the Ministry of Social Affairs. According to NEBA , the offers are available for those who are at the transition between school and work. This includes various programs such as youth coaching, training fit and vocational training assistant to help young people expand their skills and set foot in the world of work.

challenges and opportunities on the job market

Despite these valuable initiatives, there are also challenges. The employment agency points out that many employers still hesitate to hire people with disabilities. At a time when the shortage of skilled workers becomes increasingly pressing, this is considered lost potential. The integration of people with disabilities into the labor market remains a challenge that goes hand in hand with education and openness.

The UN Convention on the Rights of Disabilities has regarded inclusion since 2009 as a human right and emphasizes the need to reduce barriers. Employers can be helped through various support services in the integration of people with disabilities and benefit from their potential.

The actions like those of Caritas in the Waldviertel show that it is possible to actively shape inclusion and bring the advantages to everyone involved. Anyone who opens the doors for new perspectives will be rewarded for their commitment in the end - and not only in the form of a healthy snack for the employees.
