Students: Design lively tree tablets in the Schillerpark inside!
In the Villacher Schillerpark, something exciting is happening: Students: Inside the Peraugymnasium, a breath of fresh air into the tree signage of the park. In the “Biology Plus” compulsory compulsory subject, the young learners launched a project that not only promotes knowledge of tree species, but also awakens the joy of nature. The aim is to exchange the existing signs, which is praised by Vice Mayor Sarah Katholnig as particularly practical, because he combines learning and cleverly awareness. According to Villach, 26 profile are created to a wide variety of tree species. These include the mammoth tree, pastures and maple, which are now equipped with new, appealing signs.
A special highlight of the new signs are the QR codes that connect the walkers directly to the website Villach.at/schillerpark . Interested parties find a lot of information about the tree species there, supplemented by clear pictures. The appealing design and the high quality of the information should not only clarify, but also promote awareness of the importance of nature.
a sense of sustainability
In times when climate protection is more urgent than ever, projects like this are characterized by sustainable development. Well -trained young people who enjoy nature and take on this responsibility are more than fairly than just than fairly. As Environment in class, education plays a central role in the 2030 Agenda. Projects such as that in Schillerpark are perfect examples of how students can be sensitized on the inside.
To round off the project, the students become: plant a crown prince Rudolf Baum inside, which not only symbolizes the completion of their work, but also makes the practical connection to planting and maintaining trees. The mayor expressly thanked the educator: inside and the management of the Peraugymnasium for the support and commitment in this valuable project.
insights into biology
The Schillerpark project is a nice example of how education is interlinked with practical implementations. The pupils: Theoretically not only learn about plants, but implement their knowledge directly. Such approaches are also inspiring for other schools and educational institutions. In the context of the ESN, it is important that students not only accumulate knowledge inside, but also develop active design skills that will benefit them in the future, both at school and beyond.
We can be excited to see how the project is accepted by the visitors: inside of the Schiller Park and hope that the new tree signage will contribute to further awareness of the domestic flora. Such initiatives are a small but clear step towards a more sustainable and environmentally conscious society. With regular excursions and projects in nature, students can develop a lifelong love for the environment inside - something that can really be seen!
