In a nightly rescue operation by the Feldkirchen-Westerham volunteer fire brigade, a frightened cat was saved from a tree fork on June 22. At around 0.35 a.m. the alarm was carried out by the concerned owner, who could no longer help her white cat independently after a nightly adventure. Six firefighters moved to the site who released the cat within 15 minutes after arriving.

The cat had probably fled the tree with another cat during a fight and was tangled there. After the emergency services were able to safely reach the animal with a plug, the relieved owner was informed about the successful rescue. Commandant Sven Gericke noted that such operations were rather rare, but not extraordinary.
