Green future for Liesing: new HTL and bike paths come!
In the heart of Liesing, a lot is happening in terms of urban development. The NEOS launched an impressive meeting date, which took place on June 30, 2025. In total, there are more than 30 projects in the starting blocks that not only close gaps in the cycling network, but also create new connections.

The highlights include the new two -way bike path in Wohnparkstrasse, which creates a central connection to the Liesingbach cycle path. In addition, two underpasses on the Liesingbach cycle path have already been completed, which promote the flow of traffic under the main streets. Another important project is the redesign of Auer-Welsbach-Straße into a bicycle-friendly street that is scheduled to start from 2025.The coming years promise a real turn for Liesing: more green areas, improved traffic routes and future -oriented schools. The initiatives and measures seem well thought out and created in order not only to make the district more livable, but also more sustainable.
