VBS Floridsdorf and Fac: New path for talents in sports and school!

In an exciting step for promoting young talent in the Floridsdorf district, the Vienna Business School (VBS) Floridsdorf and the Floridsdorfer Athletics Sports Club (FAC) started cooperation. This new partnership aims to combine school training and sporting support for young talents in the region. "We would like to enable the young athletes to harmonize school and sport harmoniously," said Astrid Holzer, director of VBS, who also emphasizes the extremely positive response of the school community. Several FAC players are already visiting the VBS and benefits from the new agreement, which also includes exemptions from the lessons for championship games. This makes it easier for the talented young people to balance between learning and training, meindezirk.at .

How important the cooperation is, it is not only through the official handover of a new banner with the logo of the VBS at the Fac sports field. Helmut Schramm, board member of the Wiener merchant team, emphasizes the importance of such partnerships for the professionalization of the training. Lukas Moser, the youth manager of the FAC, sees the cooperation an essential quality feature that goes beyond sporting training. "Well -founded school education is crucial for our players," said Moser. The FAC has made a name for itself in the second highest division of Austria in the past ten years and is considered a real talent smithy from which stars such as Marko Arnautovic have emerged.

support from education initiatives

Cooperation is seen in the context of larger education and sport initiatives, which are intended to promote the integration of movement into our everyday life. As part of the “Moving Children 2.0” program, which the sports minister has launched, kindergarten and elementary school children are to be actively promoted. Sports roof associations such as ASKÖ, ASVÖ and Sportunion are working together to inspire children and young people for sports and to anchor movement opportunities in schools. These initiatives aim to strengthen not only physical fitness, but also the social binding to sports clubs, such as "https://www.sportria.at/de/interessenstreutung-und-sportpolitik/taegliche-wegungs-und-schule/cooperations-sportverein-und--und--und--und--und--und--und--und--und--und--und--und--und-- und- is.

VBS Floridsdorf itself has a wide range of training that includes commercial academies and trading schools but also new school branches such as the Cyberhak, which starts from the school year 2024/25. The focus is on cyber security, IT security and public administration. With a total of six locations and around 3,800 pupils, VBS is one of the largest private educational providers in Austria. The cooperation with the FAC is now enriching this training with a sporting dimension that will benefit the pupils and should bring the regional sport forward, as on florids.vbs.ac.at can be read.
