Viennese schools shine at the Cardea Prize for Financial Education!

On June 18, 2025, the sixth awarding of the Kardea Prize took place at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz. The event, which came up with a large supporting program, was carried out for the first time this year with a record number of project submissions from Austria. The award -winning projects were divided into three categories: "Young and Wild" (elementary school), "The pocket money is scarce" (lower level) and "Almost Adult" (upper level).

• elementary school: Prießnitzgasse 1 from Floridsdorf with the project "With soaps to the donation certificate", in which students produced soaps and donated half of the proceeds to the SOS Children's Village.
• lower level: MS NeubauGasse from new building, where the 5th school level implemented financial education projects - including the fundraising campaign "Kilo against poverty" for people affected by poverty.
• upper level: Vienna Business School Schönborngasse with the project "Budget Buddy-Your friend to save", where a financial app for budget planning and buying behavior analysis was developed.
• bhak Vienna 10: awarded for the project "Flex Diga - Financial Literacy Exposition for Digital Awareness", which deals with digital financial issues, as well as for the business podcast "Business Class", which deals with labor market trends and investment strategies.

These projects are no coincidence, but the result of a commitment that also reaches white gloss beyond the borders of Vienna. According to ots.at shows that schools from Vienna, Upper Austria, Carinthia and Burgenland were involved in the price award, and over 150 guests of the solemn ceremony attended.
