Large ASVÖ family sports day in Feldkirch: movement and fun for everyone!
On June 14, 2025, the ASVÖ family sports day took place in the Gisingen school center, which made the hearts of sports enthusiasts beat faster. The event was supported by numerous local associations, including TS Jahn Feldkirch, and you could see that the day was all about movement and coexistence. Around 20 young members of the TS Jahn were on site and presented the wide range of their club activities, especially in gymnastics and fencing. The program was organized by Karin Bechter in the area of gymnastics and Maria Buder for fencing. The two women knew brilliantly to inspire visitors and give them insights into the different sports.
"We are happy to be part of this great event," said Dr. Daniel Wiesner, the club chairman, who presented impressive show fights by Katharina and Sebastian in parallel to the interesting information, who with his comments provided additional exciting moments. Dr. Wiesner also invited the audience to trial training in September to further promote interest in sports. The event also meant a prelude to the anniversary year 2026, in which the club can look back to a proud 175 years. Visitors have the opportunity to find out more about all offers on the club homepage.
diverse activities for the whole family
The ASVÖ family sports day, which also took place in Feldkirch, Hohenems and Bregenz, pursued the goal of offering a day full of movement and fun for the whole family. The event in Feldkirch attracted numerous visitors - regardless of whether large or small, everyone got their money's worth. Admission was free, which made participation all the more attractive. Around the school center, the families had the opportunity to try out different sports at different stations, including football, gymnastics and climbing. A station passport, in which one could collect a stamp at each station, not only provided additional motivation, but also the possibility to take part in a raffle.
But that was not all: the physical well -being was also taken care of, and so the participants were able to fortify themselves and enjoy the atmosphere. The ASVÖ family sports days have been established in every federal state since 2008 and have now become an attraction for families. Colorful programs and personal contact between residents and local clubs are the focus. Around 30 ASVÖ family sports days are held this year and around 12,000 participants are expected, with more than 200 clubs actively participating.
