Restart for reutte design: proximity to the citizen is redefined!

On June 1, 2025, a decision was made of great importance for the “Reutte Design” association, which has played a central role in the local community since it was founded in 2006. After a phase of uncertainty and the mood of crisis due to a lack of a board member for the next three -year election period, a fresh wind was brought into the club. At the extraordinary general assembly, which was led by Alex Wasle, the acting chairman deputy, there was a decisive choice.

Wolfgang Winkler, district office manager of the Chamber of Commerce, took over the function of the election manager and ensured that the process went smoothly. The present could be happy, because the choice brought a uniform decision: Christ Degen was elected chairwoman, Alex Wasle remains deputy chairman, and the financial transactions are led by Simona Torgau as cashier and Tamara Wasle as deputy treasurer. Roland Schnegg is the new secretary, while Thomas Hupfauf is at his side as a deputy. Michael Kuen was chosen as an assessor and the cash auditors are Hans Wacker and Jozsef Kiss. The previous board, consisting of Helmut Hein, Alex Wasle, Jozsef Kiss and Isabel Valier, received thanks for their work.

A central concern of the new board is to intensify the closeness to the citizens. Christi Degen already set a clear sign by emphasizing the importance of cooperation with the population. The proximity to the citizen is more than just a catchphrase; It is about the immediate inclusion of people in decision -making processes and transparent communication. Mayor Günter Salchner has agreed to have several open citizens' talks every year together with the association. These discussions are intended to serve important topics, feedback and mood pictures of the population - a step in the right direction to take the needs of citizens into account. Such an endeavor is part of a broader movement towards more participation and communication at eye level that is more important than ever today, shaped by globalization and digitization. According to Böll Foundation, the proximity to the citizens is crucial for the trust between citizens and the government and should also be promoted structurally.

The commitment of the new board aims to bridge the gap between the community and the citizens. This also includes technical progress that open up innovative ways to communication between the administration and the population, such as digital platforms and social media. The aim is that people can actively participate in the design of their environment and feel heard.

an outlook on the challenges

The upcoming tasks should not be underestimated. The design of a multiple -participative approach requires a lot of effort and empathy from the management of the association. Such measures are necessary to ensure a real participation. From information events to direct citizenship decisions to online surveys-the possibilities are diverse. At the same time, it is important that all sections of the population are included in this process in order to meet the different needs.

With the fresh forces at the top of "Rutte figures", nothing stands in the way of a fresh start. It remains to be seen how intensively the new strategies for closeness to the citizen are implemented and how the population reacts to it. However, one thing is certain: the people in Reutte can look forward to a more active role in the design of their community.
