Summer festival Lienz 2025: Music, pleasure and community pure!

When the Lienz city center becomes the pulsating center of the action in August, this means that the summer festival is at the front of the door. From August 8 to August 10, 28 local clubs transform the city into a festival of music, culinary and community. The organizer of the hustle and bustle is the Tourismus Association East Tyrol ensures.

After the success of the previous year, where around 25,000 visitors celebrated the festival and the good weather did not cause any incidents, the program also promises to become a hit in 2025. Over 60 music acts, including regional bands, DJs and young musicians, bring the variety of music genres to Lienz. Brass music, rock, Austropop and Latin are presented on eight stages - a feast for the ears for all music lovers.

The main stage in front of Liebburg will be the central point of the festival, where the opening and the big Sunday defile will take place. New highlights are the "She Grooves & Latin" stage on the market square, which was specially designed for musicians and Latin vibes, as well as the Acoustic Zone at the Hypoparkplatz, the Singer & Songwriter. The Beat Zone in Mühlgasse will also offer local bands a platform, while young musicians and Austropop fans get their money's worth on Johannesplatz.

For families, an extended children's program is offered in the monastery garden, which attracts with wind and folk music as well as diverse activities. The Electronic Zone at the Erlach parking lot, in which DJs will ensure the right festival feeling, is new. The opening times of the summer festival are on Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. and on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Another highlight of the festival is the culinary offer. 28 local clubs bring regional delicacies to the plates. Whether hearty, vegetarian or sweet - there is something for every taste. Particularly practical: The newly introduced "Gluschtspecht" bonbow at a price of 33 euros offers the opportunity to enjoy nine different trial dishes.
