New ÖH chair team in Innsbruck: Who is leading the students?

After this year's election to the Austrian University of Applied Sciences (ÖH) in Innsbruck, a new team took over the helm. The result of the election in May 2025 clearly shows that the Innsbruck students set confidence in an orange-green coalition from the Action Group (AG) and the Greens and Alternative Students (Grass). With Julian Herb, a 21-year-old pharmaceutical student, the choice of fresh blood at the head of the new study representative fell.

The chosen management team is made up of Julian Herb as chairman, Anna Schramm from the Gras as the first deputy and Gabriela Crnov, who plays the role of the second deputy. Crnov expresses her joy about re -entry into government responsibility and emphasizes the act of action of the new team. The AG has another government function after two years in the opposition.

election results in detail

The election results impressively show how the distribution of voting was:

party percentage mandate
AG 44.9% 9
VSStö 20.41% 4
grass 19.84% 4
KSV-Lili 7.37% 1
junos 5.57% 1
rfs 1.92% 0

The turnout was 27.52%, which corresponds almost to the level of the area code of 2023 (27.25%). The continuation of the previous “left coalition” was not possible due to the grass's loss losses, which made it necessary to switch to the orange-green coalition.

commitment to accessibility

Another important step in the work of the new ÖH is the commitment to accessibility. The ÖH Innsbruck website has committed to compliance with WCAG 2.1 guidelines. The aim is to make the site accessible to people with different disabilities so that all students can participate equally. In addition to the support of common screen readers, the page offers customizable user interfaces in order to meet the needs of users.

whether visual impairment or motor restrictions, the accessible interface enables adaptation to different needs, including special modes for certain disabilities. An ongoing commitment to optimize accessibility shows how important this is to the new leadership, as is reported oeh.ac.at.

With fresh wind and a clear focus on inclusion and representation of the students, the new team of the ÖH Innsbruck will start the coming months. There seems to be a committed time ahead of the students, and it remains exciting what will develop under the new leadership.
