Mil's student wins with her wild meadow bike at the Crazy Bike competition!

Mils, Österreich - With a creative head and a good dose of imagination, the eleven-year-old Mathea Bodner from the elementary school Mils gave this year's Crazy-bike-competition . The talented student secured first place with her self -designed "wild meadow bike" and was able to convince the jury. At the award ceremony, which recently took place for the Innsbruck Land district, the jury recognized the impressive creativity of the participants: inside, which had submitted almost 1,500 drawings from 65 Tyrolean elementary schools.

The competition took place for the 18th time and is organized by the climate alliance Tirol and the state of Tirol, to promote enthusiasm for the bike. The motto this year was: "Design your Fantasierad!". The children of the 3rd and 4th school level were invited to put their ideas on paper on paper.

success and competitive conditions

Mathea Bodner was able to look forward to a great price: a voucher for a sports shop. Matteo Norz, who took second place with his "trumpet bike", as well as Rosa Theurl, who got third with her soap bladder cannon, were able to take home attractive prizes. In order to ensure traffic suitability and security, the designs that the children submitted had to be met by the criteria of the competition. E-bikes were excluded because the adventure on two wheels should also be safe.

The special thing about the crazy bike competition? In addition to the district ranking, the organizers also choose the national winner. This year the title went to Erna Mungenast from the Zams elementary school, whose "football plants bike" was even reproduced. The professionals of Veloflott helped actively to make the imagination of a reality.

toast a rethink

Andrä Stigger, Managing Director of the Tyrol Climate Alliance, emphasizes the importance of the competition. "With projects like this, we would like to toast a rethink in mobility and motivate the children to get excited about an environmentally friendly locomotion," he explains. The goal is clear: promoting a sustainable and creative examination of the topic of bicycle and mobility. This shows not only the multitude of submitted work, but also the commitment of the schools in all of Tyrol.

In a world in which environmentally friendly alternatives are becoming increasingly important, the Crazy Bike competition seems to be a step in the right direction. Who knows, maybe we will soon see one or the other of these creative bikes on the streets of Tyrol!
