RegioBus: New border line according to Gornja Radgona creates enthusiasm!
Gornja Radgona, Slowenien - The traffic landscape in Styrian Vulkanland has changed since July 6, 2025. The RegioBus was not only extended, but also improved, which represents a significant step towards better mobility for the region. This initiative, which promotes networking within the region, is intended to help increase the number of commuters and to optimize the connection to neighboring countries. The newly introduced line 561 according to Gornja Radgona is particularly exciting for many residents. It runs daily between Bad Radkersburg Bahnhof and the bus station in Gornja Radgona and represents the first regional bus line to cross the state border. Mayor Karl Lautner sees a practical solution with regard to the lack of rail traffic to Slovenia and refers to the perspective of a future railway construction.

Overall, there will be 36 regibo buses with the new line 561 and further adjustments, which will cover more than 1.3 million timetables annually. These buses are modern and equipped to offer passengers a pleasant travel experience. Managing Director of the Steiermarkbahn, Werner Hecking, considers the expansion as a sign of the partnership between the transport companies, which includes both Postbus and Styria.
But that's not all: there are also some exciting changes on existing lines. Line 406, which runs between Feldbach and Riegersburg, now runs all year round and offers additional trips on school days. Line 409 also receives new connections that facilitate school transport. In this context, the need is taken into account, especially during school days, flexible and often used compounds.
