Classical enjoyment: International music week conquers Murtal!

Großlobming, Österreich - The anticipation for a musical highlight grows: From July 25th to 31st, 2025, the International Music Week Großlobming/ST. MAREIN-FEISTRITZ , which in her 44th edition relies on constant tradition and artistic excellence. Music lovers are offered a varied program in the historic parish churches of Großlobming and St. Marein as well as in the picturesque courtyard of the G’schlössls Murtal.

director Lore Schrettner, who, together with Prof. Albert Kocsis, launched the music week, has put together an impressive line-up. The highlights include four concerts that both established artists and talented newcomers present. The music week has developed into a meeting point for musicians from all over the world since it was founded in 1982. Participants from countries such as the USA, Japan and Canada come to show and share their skills.

The opening concert on Friday, July 25th, will be designed by the vocal ensemble Red Shoes in the parish church of Großlobming. From 8 p.m., visitors can listen to the impressive sounds.

This is followed by an evening on Sunday, July 27th, which is all about baroque masterpieces. At 8 p.m. a musical festival is celebrated in the parish church of St. Maryin. On Tuesday, July 29th, a very special concert will take place: A recorder virtuoso will inspire the audience in the parish church of Großlobming at 8 p.m.

The crowning glory of the international music week is the summer serenade on Thursday, July 31st. At 8:00 p.m., the castle courtyard of the G’schlössl Murtal invites you to an unforgettable experience.
