Around 550 children inspire at the 4th Murelli Kids Cup in St. Peter!

The anticipation was great and it was not disappointed: the 4. Murelli Kids Cup in the Josef Leitner Stadium of TuS St. Peter am Kammersberg attracted around 550 children from 75 children's teams last weekend. A real highlight for the young footballers who not only offered fun and sporting competitions, but also created an excellent ambience to measure themselves sporty.

The tournament started on Friday with the U7 and U8 teams. FC Trofaiach, which secured first place in the U8 ranking, was easy here. Saturday was all about older years: in the morning the U9 and U12 teams played, with the Ennstal selection won the U9 competition. FC Judenburg prevailed in the U12 competition, while in the afternoon SVU Murau and SV Scheifling triumphed in the U11 and U10 categories. The organizers were happy about a fair course of the tournament, which only had to complain about a few injuries.

mainly responsible for the sporting organization of the Murelli Kids Cup was Georg Steiner, who together with his team provided the framework. The event was also able to take place thanks to the infrastructure in the Greimhalle as well as the parking facilities and the new TuS building. TuS chairman Christoph Stolz did not miss the opportunity to express the joy of this special day for children and youth sports.

Bettina Stocker and her team, who offered around 500 children and their companions, offered various food and drinks for the physical well -being of the 1300 guests. Another proof that the Murelli Kids Cup is more than just a tournament - it is a common festival for the entire community.

Over the years, the Murelli Kids Cup has also gained attention beyond the borders of Styria. Teams from neighboring federal states are now regularly there. Mayor Alexander Putzenbacher welcomed this lively interest and emphasized that such events strengthen the common sports culture and promote cohesion.
